The alarm had no light. He was all alone. He was filled with fright. And couldn’t find his way home. The first four lines: are presenting us that a boy is out on the streets in the middle of the night unaccompanied and frightened. The second four lines: are interpreting that it was a pitch black night and he was all alone very frightened. It also tells us that he was probably on his way home and got lost and now he is has ended up In an unfamiliar place. The third four lines: he was lost and he TLD know where to go at this hour of the night he was frozen with fear you could say. Even If he would walk to some street he wouldn’t know where he would end up, all in all, he was disoriented.
So he gave up hope and satiny down, he saw a wooden pole but he was still not familiar with his surroundings and where he was. The forth four lines: tells that from a distance he saw a bright light shining in his eyes. He thought to himself whether he should go towards the light or not, because he wasn’t quite sure who it was, it could be a criminal or someone trying to find him to take him home. The final four lines: is emphasizing that he went towards the light taking a risk of being hurt.
To his surprise, the source of the light was a man from his neighborhood who was holding lantern looking for some wood to light a fire In his house. The boy was so happy and he realized that he has found his way home and he will go with his neighbor and eventually he will find his house on the way. He took a risk and went towards the light thinking if the person is a known person then I’m saved but if he is unknown then god known what will happen to me. He crept closer and closer towards the light and when he reached the source of the light, to his surprise, it was a man from his neighborhood who was holding a lantern and he was looking for some wood to light a fire in his house. The boy was overjoyed and very happy. He felt safe as he realized that he has found his way. He went with his neighbor and walked alongside him until he reached home safely.
